Sims 3 Time + Game freeze

Is anyone else having this problem? I don't have any expansions just sims 3, and i started a new game last night, everything went fine for the first 2h but then every time i load the save the game time stops  all the animations, sounds and other stuffs work, like for example my sims' phone starts to ring, but she doesn't wake up and i can't klick on anything  so i have to wait between 5 to 10 minutes before it starts working for the next 2 minutes before it stops again! what can i do to make the game work?
