Changing traits for Butlers and maids -How?
« on: May 30, 2012, 12:17:13 PM »
Hello,

I  would like to change the traits of the butlers and maids in game.
I've found that perfectionist, workaholic, and neat are good traits for a maid to have.

I've created sims to add to family with those traits and the home was always cleaned.

This combined with natural cook and perhaps brave, because the butlers have more abilities and stuff, I would think would be a good start.

However would I just "testingcheatsenabled true" in the console and then click on them?  The game does not want me to edit them while they have on their uniforms in Create A Sim. Honestly I only want to change traits but Create a Sim would work for that I guess. I'm not much worried about their appearance.

I was just wondering and got to thinking I can't be the only one who wants this.. More appropriate traits for service people..

The work uniform thing means I can't ever edit the maids ..I don't know where they go when they are not cleaning my house..(Or not cleaning as the case may be.)

Thanks!

By the way so far the butler seems 1000 times better than any maid I have ever had.

For butlers, try to edit them in Create-A-Sim while they're sleeping :) I do this sometimes, just so I can get reliable butlers. I'm not sure about maids though.

If you want to make sure you get a good maid, I would become friends with them while they are working and then invite them over later.   Or if you have access to a water slide, you could invite them to join you on it.  They will change into their swimsuit and then you can use the Create a Sim cheat.
