Weird baby glitch fix
« on: June 01, 2012, 09:18:26 PM »
Okay, so I'm not sure if any of you have experienced the probelms that I've been having.  They're all fixed now (lucky little "Disable Custom Content" button  ;D), but I just wanted to know if anyone else had this happen.  I downloaded some outfits and Sims off of the Exchange, and along with these, outfits and skins I didn't want that came with the Sims were downloaded.  The skins and clothes were made for the Young Adult ladies, but fit on girls of all ages.  This made all of my little girl nooboos (Simlish for babies, maybe I'm on Sims a little bit too much) and toddlers pretty messed up.  Babies were just flesh-colored sticks floating in midair, nothing else, and toddlers had YA torsos with stretched out arms and fingers on their shoulders.  There are a couple Youtube videos on this in case you have no clue what I'm talking about.  I even talked to a few EA reps (that were extremely helpful), until I found this handy little button.  Anyway, I had to put that out there, since I almost cried from joy when Agnes Crumplebottom FINALLY had a normal baby.  Sorry if I wasted your time, I just wanted anyone else who has this problem to know how to work it out.  It can be very annoying!  ::)

What you described is exactly a result of bad third party custom content.  We advise caution when downloading items from the Exchange because you can get all kinds of nasty bugs with it.  The thing is, anyone can upload items to the Exchange and we have no idea what they've put on their Sim or in their house, etc.  A lot of us have learned the hard way like you did.  Personally, I never download anything from the Exchange.  We have our own Swap Shop where our members upload items that have a much less chance of having bad content.  It's a very strict rule and anyone who breaks it would be in trouble!
