Empty Worlds?
« on: May 21, 2012, 06:50:37 PM »
Hello everyone! So I'm doing a legacy and I want to do more but I have not found a single world that has made me happy enough with playing there for several generations. The world I usually play is Glendalough but it has no space for all the Pets and Showtime lots, so I've been searching for a new one. I'm too picky plus, even though I have a fast computer and I compress my CC into packages, large and extremely populated worlds make my game lag. Glendalough is perfect, if only I could edit it in CAW! :-\ Anyway, the point is I'm looking for a nice, empty world. Or semi-empty? I want it with roads of course, and terrains and world decoration items, I just want to put the lots in myself. I've been looking forever without finding one that I like so I figured I would ask if you guys know of any worlds with those requirements. If you have used and enjoyed any and which you would recommend. Or perhaps any finished worlds you enjoy that don't lag too much? :P

Thank you!

There are some empty worlds at "www.mysimreality.com".
There is also a world on the EA site called Holly Hills by Faith-Andhope (http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/531130.page). I has all career rabbit holes and Showtime venues. I've used it and had no problem with my game. It has 4 or 5 64x64 empty lots.

I don't know if this will fit the bill but I like Greenacres http://gb.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=5670980.  It has roads and most of the featured locations from most of the expansion packs.  I had to add a few myself like a city hall, hospital, and movie lot, as well as a few others.  The builder basically just put in three different types of houses and then duplicated them over and over to build up subdivisons.  Super monotonous.  I just bulldozed all of them, then built new, varied houses or downloaded them from the exchange and this forum.

This world is pretty flat, and not very decorated.  But it has plenty of room to drop new lots, even several 64 X 64 ones.   It is easy to modify, and make as populated or sparse as you need.  After the bulldozing, it is the closest thing to an empty world I have found.

On exchange there is  Sunset Valley 2, Windy Point and almost empty Aspen Bay(on official site but not on exchange).
Armiel at Mod The Sims shared few, Finnington and Builder's Island that I know about.

EDIT:
