Private Investigator keeps leaving homes?

So in my Legacy, Alison is a PI and needed to get into someones home. Nobody was home so she broke in but she keeps trying to go home, dropping whatever to do so. It's not just one home - it's several? I've never done this profession before so I'm wondering if this is common or if I am doing it wrong?

It happen to me too. I reset the sim that live there and he could dust for prints

I sent one of my sims to... err... borrow produce from another resident's garden, and "go home" kept appearing in his queue, too. I wonder if there's some kind of "no trespassing" code that they forgot to disable for PI's?

...or did your PI have a bladder or hygiene motive that was getting low? I know as my sim was harvesting, his hygiene was getting lower and lower, and he might have been trying to go home to take a shower.
