Store content patch V 1.1
« on: May 14, 2012, 04:14:14 PM »
Finally, there is an update for the Store.
Here's the info, from the Sims 3 site:

To install this update, please start your game and use the “Downloads” tab in your Launcher.

This Store update includes the following changes:

•Fixed an incompatibility issue with Lady Ravendancer Goth’s Book o’ Spells and the Fountain of Youth.
•Fixed an issue where the Tree of Prosperity would occasionally become frozen when switching configurations.
•Fixed an issue where cats would become frozen when jumping on the Overly General Dining Chair.
•Fixed an issue where the visual effects for the PlasmaTron TV were showing up in the wrong location.
•Fixed an issue where the Simetry Seater was incorrectly placed in the Kitchen - Counters section in Buy Mode.

*A game restart is required for updates made while the game is running

It's not showing up in my Launcher yet. Has anyone else had any success?

I just triggered the patch by loading the game to the main menu, click options then click open lancher. Then I updated it. But as soon as i clicked update a message came up saying it's now updated. Is that right? It seemed quick.

I tried this and it seemed to work. I got the notification for a new store update, and it installed quickly.

There's a new BAK file in the ContentPatch folder.

Ah okay, Maybe I'm just used to the game patches were I can see the patch install. I just had to blink once and it installed. I've not tested my game out yet though.

Did it installed very fast for you too? I just tested my game and it works fine.

Apparently the first patch released yesterday wasn't the real one, it was just a copy of the first one.

Official Thread regarding the issue.

According to SimGuruRusskii, it is necessary to clear out the ContentPatch folder if you've received the "bad" patch.

The real 1.1 store patch is 179 KB.

I downloaded the new one, but keep receiving a prompt to get the patch everytime I start the Launcher.
So annoying, but I guess I'll live with it for now.
