Distorted Pets and Showtime
« on: May 11, 2012, 06:16:02 PM »
Hopefully this isn't too odd a question.

I have the distorted pets glitch. My computer is a 2006 desktop with integrated graphics and as a shortform model it's too small to support an adding anything else inside it, so no replacement graphics card here. So until I win the lottery and can afford a new computer, no Pets for me.

However, by some miracle it runs the rest of the Sims 3 fine, with mostly medium graphics.  I'd love to get Showtime, but I don't know if my computer would support it. Does anyone who has Showtime know if it's got similar graphics problems to Pets with older machines, or if mine would be roughly able to run it?

From what I understand, it's not a glitch with the distorted pets.  It's simply a graphics card problem.

As for Showtime, here are the system requirements.  You can check them against your computer to see if it will run this Expansion Pack.

You should be able to run Showtime without any major problems. There are no pets, so no dissortions and you don't need any advanced rendering option, no need of high options and high graphics. The requirements are generally the same, like the previous expansions of pets, so if you managed to play Late Night or Generations, you can play also Showtime. However, you cand do a Sims 3 Showtime compatibility check here: http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/intro.aspx
