Usually I have no problem getting my teens to find a date to the prom. But this last one I played had bad luck at every turn.
She started High School on a Friday and the message popped up that the prom would be on Monday. That left only the weekend to try and get enough of a relationship with a sim to ask to the prom. The one she first set her eyes on refused her invites to come over or to go out. I finally have her go to his house, and after spending several sim hours building the relationship, it turned out he is mean spirited and had a girlfriend. So in one insult, she went from friend back to aquaintance.
Sunday she tried another guy. This one didn't insult her, but was immune to her advances and had a girlfriend also.
So she was my first teen that had to go solo to the prom. Then, during the dance, she was rejected by one of the popular boys and ended up with a -50 moodlet for the evening. It was so tragic and pathetic that I had to laugh.
She was also snubbed by the mean-spirited boy. So she used the spellbook to learn the summon spell, summoned him to the house and then insulted him in a variety of ways, and ended up beating him up. But her grandmother scolded her and put her time out. The next few days were devoted to making prank calls to the mean boy and egging his house. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
Sounds like the script for a teen drama.
