Household Bills

Are they meant to keep increasing each time you receive them? When I moved into my current house they were around $200 and now they're close to $1,000. I've got rid of some lights and make sure the TV is turned off. Are there any other ways I can decrease them?

they go up depending on how "well-furnished your home is." A big home gets bigger bills and small home gets smaller bills. You can't decrease them I think..

Your bills are based on the value of your house furnished.  So if you keep putting up paintings or buying new furniture they are always going to get bigger.   As for the §1000 price tag - that's not actually all that much.  Generation 2 of my dynasty is paying around §12000 twice a week.  They're kind of loaded because of all the painting sold by my painters over that time so it's ok.

If you download any of the free eco packs from the store and get either the windmill or the solar panels, these will reduce the bill somewhat. There is also the no bills ever life time happiness reward, that will cut them down to zero

Ooooh, I think I'll get some solar panels, it'll look good on the roof.
