Stick Baby Glitch

Whenever my sim has/adopts a baby, the new child up shows up on the screen as a giant, brown stick. It's hard to describe, but so annoying when I just want to begin raising my children!Has anyone had this problem or found a way to fix it?

Do you have CC? That can cause distortions.
