T.L.C. Shack (0 bd. 1 ba.)
« on: June 29, 2012, 06:34:57 PM »
This tiny shack was inspired by family trips down the Pacific coast while growing up. There were a number of abandoned shacks, farm houses and other buildings along the route. The other inspiration came from the lot in Riverview with the abandoned car nearby.

It was rather challenging to make the house look like it had been weather-beaten. The yard was easier with the terrain paints for dry grass and dirt and the brambles add a nice touch.

The house is very inexpensive even fully furnished. A great starter home that just needs a little T.L.C.

Name: T.L.C. Shack
Lot Size: 20x30 (wide)
Bedrooms: 0
Bathrooms: 1
Cost unfurnished: 8,105
Cost furnished: 10,690
Requires expansion/Sims 3 store content:
Can this lot be used in a story?: Yes

Description:
This tiny dilapidated shack has been exposed to the elements a little too long. But the right Sim can - with a lot of hard work - remake it into a home to be proud of.

Thanks. My plan is to move a Sim into the house with limited funds (say a couple hundred simoleons) and make a story out of restoring the house. Starting with the house unfurnished, possibly. I'm just thinking how best to do it since things like terrain paints are free. But, with a little help from the cheats, I can attach a "cost" to them, heh.

It is nice and roomy compared to some other starters I've played.  Effeicency is nice, but having some elbow room once in a while is nice too.

Thanks. Normally I try to do something other than a basic "box" shaped house, but it just turned out that way. It was fun building it, and also "destroying" the lawn. :)

I love a house to work on, but not totally start from scratch! Looks like a fun "project" for one of my simmies! Thanks!

Thanks. :)

If your simmie does a makeover, post some pictures. I'd love to see what they do with it.
