Lights in houses

I have been looking at some examples of houses while my computer is being fixed and I have noticed something odd. Some examples of house building shows squares near the ceiling of rooms. They seem to be put in random places. Does anyone know what these are and how they were created? They look like they could be some kind of light.

I believe you are talking about invisible lights.  They are in the section of the catolog created when you activate Buydebug, in the miscellanous section.
