Is this a bug?

My child sim had a wish in France to buy a bottle of nectar. I've totally forgot his age when I sent him off to the 'nectar farm' and there it reminds me that a child can't buy nectar (which is logical). Why does my sim want something he can't have? I know this happens a lot to people in real life (wanting something you just can't have), but this is the first time I encountered this in game.
Is this a bug?

I don't know about the nectar wish, but I've had children and teenagers with the wish to go fishing before 6 a.m.  So I sent them out to fish early in the morning, and they wound up being picked up by the police for being out after curfew.  I think sometimes sims just want to do things they can't do.  As you say, a lot like humans!

I think it's a bug.  Sometimes in my game after a couple gets married and moves in with each other they'll get the wish to move in with their spouse.  It's just odd that they would want something they already have, so it must be a bug.
