Surprise Child

Hello, all
I have been playing World Adventures with my (male) sim. He is currently single with no romantic relationships. He has traveled to France twice and has had no romantic interactions there. I have not switched my active sim/family. Imagine my surprise when I opened his family tree and found out he was the proud father of a male child. The mother is someone he hasn't yet met in Champs Les Sims. Has this happened to anyone else? If so, can you interact with the child? Does he or she recognize you as his/her parent?

It's the World Adventure Bug - well one of them anyway. The Child is yours, you just never met the Mother or did anything to receive the child. You can interact with it as far as I know. Some people might have moved it in but I don't remember. I'm lucky enough to not have got this bug before.

Yeah, those horrendous travel bugs! Well, one of them. Like samoth, I have not experiensed this one, luckily.

I've had it happen numerous times and my sim was able to talk with the child. Then a few days later there was a message that the said child died in a fire. Each time she interacted with the child, they later died; but, there were no graves in the graveyard. Weird.
