I lost my save because it says it was saved with content or an expansion no longer usable, I  think it is my CC I have some CC installed. Sometimes it refuses to read certain CC, is there anyway to resolve this? It keeps happening to me and I've lost every save I've ever made on Sims 3 because of continuous  errors and it is usually due to it not saving correctly.

I suggest removing all of your CC then doing a Factory Reset. If your game then works fine, then it's the CC that is causing you problems. You could try adding it back one or two pieces at a time so maybe you can pinpoint which CC it is. But I'm afraid there's no way that I know of to recover any of your saves that have already been corrupted by the CC.

You might want to download Delphy's dashboard and examine your custom content with it, to find which file is causing you problems.  If the custom content is just badly made, you're out of luck, but it's possible that the file got mangled during downloading or something, and a fresh download of the problem CC might fix your problem.

I made a new save and checked my content on that save and found out it's some of the CC not loading, it appears sometimes the game just doesn't read some of the cc :/

If the custom content is not defective and if it's installed properly, then the game reads it.  Computers follow rules; they don't have whims. ;)  Your computer won't just take a dislike to some of your content.  That's good news, because it means that if there's a problem, you can fix it! :)

If some of the custom content isn't loading, there are a few possibilities:

1.  You're trying to use TS2 content in a TS3 game.
2.  You forgot to unzip, unrar, or un7zip the file.
3.  The file got corrupted somehow, either during the download or while being moved around on your hard drive.
4.  You're putting Sims3pack files in with your package files, rather than installing them.
5.  The content is defective.

If you use Delphy's Dashboard, it will look at all of your custom content and alert you to problems with it.  If some of the CC you're using is actually for TS2, the Dashboard will tell you that.  If the file got corrupted somehow, the dashboard will tell you that.

So,

Step 1.  Look at all of your custom content in Windows Explorer, using the "details" view.  Make sure that all of the file names end in ".package" and none of them ends in ".zip," ".rar," ".7z," or ".Sims3Pack."  If this fixes your problem, go to Step 4; otherwise, go on to Step 2.

Step 2
.  Download Delphy's Dashboard and look at your custom content with it.  Make sure you don't have any TS2 files or corrupted files.  If this fixes your problem, go to Step 4; otherwise, go on to Step 3.

Step 3
.  Remove the custom content that isn't loading.  Go to the place where you downloaded the custom content that isn't being loaded, and download it again.  Install it, unzipping or unraring package files and putting them in your My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder and using the launcher to install any Sims3Packs.

Step 4.  Load the game.

Step 5.  Unless some content is just defective (which doesn't actually happen very often), Steps 1 - 3 should have fixed your problem.  If there's custom content that STILL isn't working, then go to the place where you downloaded the custom content that isn't being loaded, and notify them that their content is defective.

This is probably a long shot but you haven't mislaid the world you were playing in have you?  I know this sort of message pops up if you remove a world - the saves in that world are no longer playable for obvious reasons.  Check that the world you were playing in is still installed.

no i rarely use CC worlds and i never touch my installed worlds, and besides i usually play in my pets expansion world or the base game world (belive it or not i did misplace my base game world once by accident when attempting to install mods using the old method (dont even ask me how i did it i dont know myself :L)

but aparently if i save and exit my game then after sims exits i shut off my laptop the save auto corrupts? so i need to save, then save and exit, then before i start up sims3 again use my backup save (the one i made before save and exit) and it fixes the problem? it might be because my sims is on D: and the documents is on C: so it might just be a transfer delay or something, either way ive resolved it
