I wonder how many Sims players use the game to do things they could never do in the real world...  ;)

I know I sure do! In RL I'm very shy and quiet staying on the good side of life. In the sims, I break couples up, Steal things, kill people, in general everything I don't do in life, I do on the sims! It's very freeing!

Haha! Maybe a little of topic, but when I was still playing the Sims 1, I used to have a lot called 'the Furnace'. The families I didn't like ended up in a little house with 8 fireplaces, 3 bbq's, 2 firework sets and a lot of carpets and plants!

Must say, I am the same way, never thought about it much though till you said that.  I like normal, but then the sims have the wild side.  I would never do half the stuff I put my sims through.

Haha, influenced by the movie Saw perhaps? Or wait, that one didn't excist back yet.
Back in The Sims 1 day's I did have my period of being a collector of tomb stones. I enjoyed having a nice graveyard in my backyard. Although my sims doesn't apreciated the way I got those tombs very much, I did. But today, I will almost never do anything ingame that I will do in real life. It is almost as if I have grown up somehow. :P

I'm a cheater too. As soon as I installed sims the cheat went in but it's only recently that I found out about keeping the moods static, so that's getting used all the time now. With sims you do do all the things you don't do in real life, like having all these babies, cheating and getting away with it and having someones elses baby and your husband not batting an eyelid, having so many lovers all at the same time.

I do like to give my sims money so they have nice stuff and not starving but they do work. I'll either start with a couple or only one sim but to be honest I get bored of them and start another one but I don't like deleting my sims so at the minute I have John who had a teenage daughter and her friend living with him, when the girls turned into young adults John took a fancy to his daughters friend, I was going to get her pregnant by someone else and for John to still marry her but I lost interest.
Iv got a couple with 12 kids, this was part of the baby boomer challenge that I did by myself (I didn't stick to the rules, I was just experimenting). Bored as soon as she had the last 3. And another boring couple.

What I have done now is evicted everyone from their houses in a new game, and create all single young adults, given them money so I can put them into bigger houses so the cheaper ones are available and going through all of my new sims one by one getting all the skills they need for jobs and finding them love interests so when I turn on aging and game progress they will all get on with their lives. In this town there's a blue and green couple just to mix things up. Also iv been watching "the Tudors" so I have king Henry viii and Anne Boleyn. They are engaged at the minute. I have a gorgeous blonde female who is a model and a guy who I'm saying is a rich basketball player. These characters all live in the biggest and most expensive houses.

I like to make my sims very succsessful, and save up for only the best items. I like to skip the medium and go from beginning to awesome

I don't personally like aging because I don't want them to die. I customized my character for an hour and play it all day just to see them die? Not for me XD

Perhaps it's because the 5 years influence of The Sims (the first one) that I've been playing since I'm 10. I'm the kind of person who will turn aging and free will off everytime I started a new family (in The Sims 2) or started a new game (in The Sims 3). But I'm keeping the story progression on to keep things interesting.

I love to focus on one character, and tell you what, it should be a girl lol. I'd max all of her skills, get most of the skill challenges, reach level 10 in every job except criminal (she's good :P), and will have a private art and treasure gallery underground. Then when I'm starting to feel bored, I'll usually merge her with a new family consists of one girl and a little kid (which is a girl too hihihi) then play them all.

I also love to build house. All of the houses available in The Sims are well built and oh unique, it makes me feel that I have to make a better one. I usually build (or modify) a contemporary styled house, since it's now fits perfectly with High End Loft Stuffs, it doubles my fun.
