No Spook-o-meter

I'm at level 5 of ghost hunter career and am on a job that I have to find ghosts, posts here say use a spook-o-meter but I dont have one.  Can I get one thru a cheat?  I dont see any ghosts and I dont have any sort of "hot and cold" indicator..help please!

oh great now I dont even have my banishing banshee thing!  I went into buydebug didnt find either the banshee or spook-o-meter

Neither one of these items has ever been something that you hold onto.  In my experience it was just something that my sim magically pulled out to do the job at a job site.

To use the spook-o-meter, you must be on a ghostly presence job.  Go to any room in the house or on the lot and choose to "Scan for Ghosts".   This is only available during that job though.

yeah, funniest thing happened right after I posted, I clicked on the floor and saw that option..scan for ghosts..
