Building In Late Night

I was looking around the net, and there are conflicting stories on whether you can build custom apartments. Some sites say you can, some say you need cheats (Like WA tombs and Sims 2 BV), and most say you can't. Bad news for creative simmers! . Does anybody know the correct answer? Thanks for your help

We won't know for sure until Late Night is released.  Anything before that is just speculation unless Electronic Arts gives out specific information.  I've heard in interviews with EA people that we won't be able to expand existing apartments/penthouses, only redesign the inside of them.  That sounds right to me because of them being on top of or inside an existing building.  I don't recall anything being released about new construction.

Well, I've read about some people who has the chance to see some gamedesigner they where interviewing playing the game and I've read that the apartments can't be designed, only your own rooms. That's what I mostly read on other sites though and I think they mean with that that apartments are in fact a sort of rabbit hole with your sim's room as exception, but be aware that's only my speculation.
