Diagonal walls are not allowed here

Hey everyone! Again. Ok, so I found a way to make my own rugs, using a wall form and then just deleting the wall. Now, however , it's giving me the error message "Diagonal walls are not allowed here". Why? What's wrong? I am doing it the same way as before...

Are you sure something is not blocking your ability to put a wall there? 

Also, Ctrl + F will give you the ability to place 1/4 panels for flooring to create your own floors rugs.

I didn't know about the Ctrl + F thing, I should give it a try. I tried doing an "x" and it won't let me do it. I get the message when putting the second wall. I can make a + though, and it let me do it before...

Yeah you can't cross two diagonal walls with each other.  I don't know why but sometimes you can't do that with fencing either.   Try the Ctrl + F thing and use your > and < keys to see if you can get the effect that you want.

Sorry for the double post, but I found it! I was doing an x on one tile instead of a total of 4. Thanks for trying ricalynn! You have helped me on every topic I've posted. Thanks again! And I feel stupid for this post... but such is life. :)
