So, I really want to share, but I hope I don't jinx myself... the crashing has stopped! It was all that nasty Norton's fault! I'm going to give it a few days and check all my files and see if the crashing has really stopped. Things are looking up right now, though!

Does that mean I get the heroic ballad? LOL

My game seems to the same, speed wise, whether or not Norton was installed.

I still have to check my other games... but perhaps. ;)

Unfortunately, my DecaDynasty crashed after only a few minutes. It was different than the usual crash, though, but I'm not sure if that's good or bad. But I was able to play in Union Cove for a while without crashing. Maybe it's just a problem with Hidden Springs?

Hidden Springs has been having issues. Ricalynn and Samoht both have issues with it. It might be HS.  Do you have any cc or mods installed that you have maybe forgotten about? I had that issue once. I had something installed and after I patched got weird crashing. Come to find out it was the piece of cc causing it.

Nope. That file is my DecaDynasty. I really don't want to have to give it up, but I may have to. :-\

Edit: Turns out this was because of my turning DEP back on. I added all the files back and I'll see later tonight if my games will ever stop crashing.

Turns out the problem isn't fixed. Now, it's a new problem! I was again messing with my settings and increasing the resolution made the game crash. I didn't save at all during this play session. When I reloaded the game and set it to the resolution I had been using, the game crashed after just a couple minutes. So now it seems, if it crashes once, it will crash always.

Had another crash. This time, my diagnostic tool told me it was likely due to custom content? I only use Twallan's mods, and I checked to make sure the ones I was using were up to date (they are). And I only have content from the sims 3 store. So when I tried to play again, it crashed but the same graphics insufficiency was supposedly the reason.

Does anyone know of another program that diagnoses crashes other than the one from Mod the Sims?
