What happens to garden when moving?
« on: March 07, 2012, 02:18:14 PM »
Hello all,

I have a wonderful garden with a money tree, life fruits, and many other growing plants. My sim has the super green thumb perk, which works amazing, along with level 10 gardening. Now, I have made a lot of money and it's time for a new lot. My question is does anyone know what would happen to my garden/plants that I have growing, specially the money tree, when I do change lots and move out.

Thank you in advance for any help that you can provide me!  ;D.

The garden will stay on the lot after you leave and you'll be able to go over there and harvest it.  Since it will be considered a wild plant at that point, you don't have to worry about watering, weeding or fertilizing it.   The plants shouldn't die either except for deathflower bushes.

Thank you for your response. So you are saying that if the garden is not on my lot that I will be able to still just go over and harvest it on my old lot even though that lot would no longer be mine?

Yes as long as you can get to it meaning there isn't a locked gate or a fence that requires you to go through the house.

Thank you, you're very helpful and I appreciate your responses. I guess my major concern is my money tree that I have growing, all my other plants and trees I can replant at my new lot buy using what I have harvested from the current garden. Unfortunately that is not the case with the money tree, and I did not want to have to give that up. So as long as I'm still able to access it once I move then I guess I don't have a problem even though it would be nice to be able to have it on my new lot.

Thank you again!  :)

If you're wanting a money tree on your new lot, keep checking back at your old lot for money tree seeds. They fall to the ground by your money trees. Pick them up, and plant them on your new lot.. The seeds are normal grade. But as you care for them, they grow into perfect money trees.
