How to get Omni Plant?

OK, my Sim reached level 10 of the inventing career and he had to bring in 10 life fruit. However, my Sim's gardening skill was 7 at the time. Once, he reached level 10 of gardening skill, my Sim managed to complete making the robot. Now the problem is, I am not getting any opportunities in getting the Omni seeds!

How do I solve this issue? When my Sim reached level 10 of the gardening skill, the opportunity slot was taken by the invention of the robot. Now that the opportunity slot is cleared, will my Sim get the opportunity for the Omni plant seed?

If you keep the skill opportunity slot open, you'll eventually get the chain of opportunities that leads to the Omni Plant.  It's somewhat random, but it does come sooner or later.

OK, thanks for the kind reply. The reason why my skill opportunity slot is not open is because I was creating the Sim Bot. I hope that this opportunity will come sooner rather than later as I am trying to create the perfect Sim.

It will come as long as your Sim doesn't die first.  That's happened to me more than once, unfortunately.  Until it does, be sure to keep increasing the quality of the produce so that you'll be able to complete the first opportunity quickly.  After that, work hard on getting high quality cheese, even before you get that next opportunity.  Same with the steaks.

This chain is a long one, and it can really get dragged out.  Especially when you consider the fact that you need super-high quality cheese and steaks to complete it.  In one game I'm playing now, the first generation managed to complete the first step in the chain, and grew all the cheese needed for the second one before he died.  The second generation gardener now has the first step in the chain, so hopefully I'll get the second step early on.  Not that it matters:  she's vamped and gardens at night.
