As you know, I'm fairly experienced with game mods and Sims 3, and started out in this community openly admitting to a heavily modified game, then stopped modding post-GEN for almost a year, because I felt it was the only way I could respect the forum rules and still be honest about my game play. However, this is the first time I used a Core mod. I'm using Error Trap, which is a core mod, but I still want to upload some CC free creations onto the Swap Shop and possibly participate in Building contests in the future.

My concern with Error Trap and the rules of this forum "you cannot require a core mod to work with your uploads" is that because Error Trap is a core mod, it will go into my CC free studio, and I don't want that. This is my first Core mod, and only core mod I will use, and I'm concerned that it's going to effect my uploads.

Will Error Trap effect any of my uploads in the Swap Shop? If it will, how do I fix it so it won't? I like to be very careful whether its my Studio on the official site, or on our swap shop, as to what goes into my downloads.

If not Error trap, what would be examples of putting in uploads that require mods to work, so I'm clear, and more comfortable uploading things, without someone possibly getting stuff they don't want in their game, especially if they don't use mods?

It seems to me that ErrorTrap, Overwatch, and Master Controller should have no effect on objects. Mods that have special objects and aren't usable without the associated script are more what we're referring to. I'm not aware of any Nraas mods right now that are like that.

As for Mods in the Contests only Mods that transfer with Uploads or a Mod which affects the appearance or gives an advantage to the Builder (E.g A Mod which unlocks hidden items) are banned.

Thanks guys. No, I will never use any slider hacks, or any realistic skins, because to me it looks really creepy. Like I said, this is my first time ever using a core mod, and I wanted to make sure it wouldn't effect my uploads, and force people who don't like mods to have to use it.

Glad to know my Swap-Shop uploads will remain safe.  :)

One more question though: Is Pose Player acceptable for personal use of taking pictures of the house? (EX: child holding up peace sign in the backyard?)

[SleepFreedom] is an Object Mod.  If you attempt to load a lot with those type of beds, without the mod installed, the game will automatically delete them.
