How do I go inside the store?

I know it will be simple, but when I took my Sim to France to get seeds, mainly grape ones, I couldn't get her to go inside the store.  I tried several things, but all she does is talk to those who are going in and out. 

I tried to open the door, what do I do to get her inside the store to shop?

Did you try to click on the register and the option to buy was missing?

Okey, bad joke. Have you tried emptieng your sims pockets before they got inside, or at least tried to? It could be they where carrieing something bugged.

I will look to see if I can see the register, my cursor was clicking various things, door, window, others as they waked in trying to follow them in, but none of that worked.

Leto85, it got a smile out of me, my wacky sense of humor.  She has just arrived so I don't think she has anything in her pockets.  Her inventory does have some of the gens and metals I have collected in Riverview. 
Also all the fruit/veggies she had harvesed before she left.  And my money tree produced some money (need to see if I can find some more of them).  I don't know if that would be a factor. 

I was just checking out the WA to see what it is like, not with any plans other than to get as many different seeds as I can for my gardener.  She planted eggplants and cheeseplants before her trip.

If you're looking for seeds, the place to send her to is the Nectary. If you click on the icon, she should go inside. If the register doesn't work (that happened to me once), you can gather grapes from the nearby garden.

For more types of grapes to plant, also visit the abandoned nectary house to get a different variety there. 

When I go to the market in France, the first thing I do is make sure that I am on the property then I use my controls to get me down to the first floor.  Sometimes it doesn't always do that.  Inside the shop (none of them are rabbit holes), there is usually a counter with a register on it (Like the consignment shop).  If you click on the register, you should get the options to browse or buy. 

Unknown seeds can sometimes cause you to not be able to interact with registers and grocery store so that could be part of it.

Yes, sometimes bugs have to do something with seeds. I don't know why and neither how to fix them. I've never experienced them myself fortuniatly but I've read many times others did.

But back to the reason of this topic: what you could do is saving the building you had problems with to the bin, bulldozing the original building and placing it again.
We all we're viewing the problem as if your Sim triggers the bug, but it could just be the building.
Try that out. If it doesn't work, than it's probably your Sim after all and we have to find other possible solutions.

Found out what was going on.  A glitch.  I went back and tried again and still couldn't go in.  But it shows me inside the store.  My son came in and suggested that  I sent her to the park nearby and then went back and she was able to go inside. 

I am going to go the nectary and check out gardens, fields and such for seeds.  Thanks for the suggestions.  I was able to get dried food, but I also have my inventory full of food, so she should be okay.

WA doesn't do seeds just fruit to be planted.  There is a farm to check out for extras you can't buy from the nectary or food vendor too.  There is a map of how to get there right here on the guide.

And I'd also like to take a moment to point out that she wasn't actually asking about gathering the plantables.  She was trying to figure out why her Sim couldn't physically walk inside a store in France.  While your information was undoubtedly helpful, it wasn't addressing the problem she was asking about.

it may not have been a dumb question, but I really felt dumb when my son asked if I had tried to go to another place and then go back.  I had signed out of the game, went back in and still couldn't get her in the door.  And it was showing her inside but she wasn't. 

But, going to another area and then sending her back, she was able to get in.  Had a nice time in France, spent it mainly learning my way around traveling.  This is all so new to me, sim type games, that I am more goofing off than playing, but it is fun. 
Once I figure how to do things (and how NOT to do some) I can really focus on "real" playing.

Example, she had invited a friend over, I go to click on put up lefovers and somehow she is running down the street and he is chasing after her.  It took me a sec to get her back to the house but I am constantly doing something like that.  It can be quite comical.

The game has glitches from time to time, so this isn't the first you'll see of strange happenings.  You're welcome to ask all the questions you want, whether you think they're dumb or not.  We've all been where you are, trying to learn this game that can be overwhelming sometimes.
