My sim just got promoted to Trendsetter in Training and had normally got positive results. Now whenever she does makeovers the clients have clothes/hair that I didn't give them are they are not satisfied.

The sims have clothes or hair that you didn't give them?  Are you fulfilling all of their requests?  If they want 3 formal outfits and 2 swimsuits or whatever, are you doing all of them?

Are the clothes you didn't give because you gave a bad makeover?  If so that's just a part of the profession as far as I can tell.
