How to download CAW?

I need help. I've been trying to download it for a while but it won't work.
Is there anything specific that I need? Do I HAVE to have WA installed?
Do I click Run or Save? Where do I save it? In The Sims 3?
Any detailed info I would appreciate. Thanks.

Do you have a PC or a MAC. If you have a MAC it isn't compatible. If not you just follow the same steps you have to do for normal downloads. I think I click run but not sure. If one doesn't work try the other. You don't need any EPs to run CAW just the base game.

I have not installed CAW personally but it is possible to use CAW with a MAC with an Intel Processor and BootCamp which is built into Mac OSX Snow Leopard.
You could also use Parallels Desktop for Mac to run Windows Programs. To use BootCamp or Parallels you need to have a copy of Windows.

I have a laptop that counts as PC right?

A laptop can be either Mac (Apple) or Windows.  What operating system are you using?
A Windows laptop can run for example:
Windows Vista, Windows 7 Windows XP
Mac Laptop can run:
Leopard, Snow Leopard, Lion

Ok then you have a PC running Windows 7.
When I have downloaded programs on my PC, I use to save them to the desktop and then double click it from there to install.

If your having problems with the installation after it's downloaded I am sure someone with more knowledge than I should be able to help you.  I have not downloaded CAW so I'm not sure of the problems it may encounter during installation.
 
I know though when I have installed programs I always shut off my Virus Scan and Firewall before installing.  Then turned them back on after installation.  Leaving these 2 programs running can interfere with the installation.

When you go to the page for create a world on the official site, come down to the bottom of the page and accept the end user agreement. Once you do that you will be able to click the download button. From there select save file then ok. Depending on your computer setup, it will save the file to possibly the desktop or a download folder. Once it has been saved you can move it into it's own folder somewhere. Then just click on that file (worldtool.exe) to run it. It will be installed to the EA folder in Program Files on your hard drive.
