What is the max sims living in one household ?

We have 5 children so there are 7 in the house. My daughters are now young adults and of course would like to marry and have children of their own but I really don't like that you literally lose your family members if they move out. That is so mean, the original household will move on in life while the ones that move out will be stagnant in life !

There is a maximum of 8 sims in one household.

You can have up to 8 Sims and up to 6 pets but only a total of 10 including both groups.

If you have Story Progression enabled, the ones you move out will continue to have their lives.  They will marry, have children, get jobs, etc.  However, they can also move out of town, just like all the other Sims in town.
