Inspired Moodlet

Does the inspired moodlet make sims skill faster in certain skills? All skills? When my sim completes an opportunity that inspires them, the game suggests that they paint/play guitar etc while they are inspired.

It's not from a trait. You can get it from an opportunity, from looking at art (apparently), from some experiments I think, and I know for sure that when you reach lvl 10 of science career, you can experiment on furniture and make it give you the inspired moodlet. I made a house with furniture that had all the good possible moodlet scores added to them by experimenting on them til I got what I wanted. Normally 'inspired' lasts for 4 hours.

You can also get the 'inspired' moodlet from seeing a show(symphony) at the theater and going to the art gallery (and looking around).  I didn't know about the "try experiment on" for the furniture, I should try it.

I've never tried anything after receiving the moodlet, but now you've mentioned it I'm curious and will have to keep an eye open for it.

I've also heard the same thing about the 'zen' moodlet from meditating, I think you are suppose to skill up faster when you have that moodlet (not sure what its called but its like tranquil, or zen, or something)  But again I've not really payed attention.

I've never really noticed any increased skill gain from the Inspired moodlet, but positive moodlets can help you to avoid doing things that would make your Sim stop training a bit longer.

I think it may just affect your Sims mood with the +10 or whatever it is and I think a High Mood increases Skill Learning rates. i'm not sure though.
