Roofing Frustration (Solved)
«

I've run into problems attempting to put a roof next to the second story wall of my home. Before I add the main roof on top of the second story, I have no problems laying the half-gable against the wall. Once I place the main roof, I'm left with an ugly hole (see screenshot below)!
This is very angering.

I'm guessing it's because the top roof is extending beyond the walls a little and overlapping the bottom roof. If you make the top roof a bit smaller, the hole shouldn't appear.

Ausette is right. I just tried to recreate the problem and found it easy to do. If you look at this pic, you will see the hipped roof extends one square out over the end of the building and the half gable below it has a piece missing. Try bringing back the hipped roof so that it ends flush with the building.

Sometimes changing the height of the roof can help too. I ran into a similar problem when I was building an Asian roof. Making it shorter in height may help.

Ack, of course it would be the wide roof! Silly me. >.<
Thanks a world for your help.
