Yahoo are like that. They criticize everything. I bet anyone that the reviewer has never even played a Sims game and, uh hello Mr.Reviewer there are supposed to be EPs and SPs.

Oh, he did some research.  He just doesn't understand that research is not the same thing as experience.  Not only is it not in the ballpark, it's not even part of the same sport.  He relied a lot on other people's opinions (game reviews) to form his own opinions for his article.  That speaks quite a bit about his actual experience (and obvious lack thereof) in gaming.

I've played Sonic, but not for years.  Yes, people are sick of him, but it's a kid's game primarily and is still incredibly popular.  For every gamer who grows out of Sonic there's another one or two who discovers him.  I'm very familiar with Dynasty Warriors, and again it's an incredibly popular franchise despite poor reviews.  Assassin's Creed, again, is insanely popular and despite the last one being the lowest rated game in the series still sold as well and was as well liked as any of the others.  Tony Hawk, at least, hit the mark...but even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while.

Of course, I don't have to tell any of you about the Sims.  :P

What I was talking about was the fact that he didn't know that there is no Sims online anymore.  I mean he could have found that out on wikipedia.

He could have found that anywhere on the web.  The Sims is still the top selling franchise in history, and most of the franchises he mentioned do exceptionally well regardless of what reviewers have to say about it.  The problem I have with it is that he's trying to pass himself off as some sort of expert in the field, when he clearly seems to have little (if any) in the way of actual experience or even knowledge about the subject.  It's junk journalism at it's finest.

What about the sims Hosfac? Haha just kidding. I agree with you about his lack of gaming experience. The guy has probably never even played any of the games he is bashing. And also about the EP's and SP's, I hadn't gotten into 1 or 2 but by finding this forum, I was expecting them because of everyone saying it so I wasn't surprised. I'm not even surprised by the one every 4-6 months! Only thing I don't like is them putting them out when I don't have the money to buy them, but it wouldn't be realistic of me to ask EA to hold off on making one til I could buy it. I'll take that bet ClaCla!! Anyone that's played sims for any amount of time can realize it's an awesome game and should never be retired!! Yes the bugs are bad sometimes, but there is also funny bugs that make you laugh.  ;D

You mean like the fixed bug from pets that let sims roast and eat hore fertalizer?  Or the one the let you have a baby with Grimmy that was also removed?

Those were funny! Also the little glitches like when 2 sims get melted together, and put there hands through other sims are pretty hilarious!
