Did anyone complete the 15 gigs challenge?

OK, I have a question to ask. Do anyone here managed to complete 15 gigs for their bands? Right now, I played 11 gigs but it is extremely difficult to get more gigs and I am stuck. Any advise on this would be appreciated.  Also, I did not register my Sims as being self-employed at the City Hall and the question is, is this necessary?

OK, I finally made it to 15 gigs with one Sim BUT the particular skill for gigs, being a gig master is not in bold! Granted, my other 3 Sims have less than 15 gigs to their name, but nevertheless, the Sim whom I really care about is not getting the bold achievement for playing 15 gigs!

When my Sim played about 7 gigs, I moved town and started recruiting new band members. Does this mean that ALL of my band members need to play 15 gigs before getting this achievement? Has anyone here faced this similar problem?
