Sims won't go to bed

I have a family of 5. They all have their beds and there also is a butler bed. Anyway it happened to each of them, they would not go to bed. Every time I pointed to go to bed the command would disappear , instead they would go sleep in sleeping bags which I have in the garden. I ended up having to replace 4 expensive beds and lost money. Now the other teen is refusing to go to bed and I only replaced his bed 2 sim days ago, Why is this happening? please help,
