Household Problems

Hi everyone,
    Currently I am using the Sims 3 base game only, with no expansion packs and stuff packs.  Recently, when I was playing my active household, one of my family members wanted to have a child, shown as a wish.  However, I already have 8 Sims in my household and I know each household can only have 8 or fewer Sims.  How can I finish this wish?  I tried to adopt a child but it does not work!  Please kindly help me and thanks all.

You'll have to have one of the sims move out (or die) in order to make room for the new sim. Otherwise, the wish cannot be completed. The sim can't get pregnant unless there is room!
