Pets On Console: Anyone Else Feel Sad When A Pet Dies Or Goes Missing?

I'm an animal lover, I have a cat.  Maybe that's why I feel a little sad when one of my sim pets dies or suddenly goes missing and I try frantically to find them.  One time, my sim's cat died when it was missing.  I can't remember if it was a senior cat or it died of starvation.  My pets seem to go missing if there's a house fire, they usually take off.  That's why you pick a pet trait of brave I know.

Anyway, I was curious to know if anyone else feels like this?
