Error code 16: Loose file copy failure

I got this while trying to save my game...after 4 hours of work.  I know the work is lost, since I couldn't save apparently, but what does this error code mean, and how do I fix it.  I'm hoping its not the expensive answer of upgrading my machine.

I get that error a lot lately and I upgarde my computer recently. it is far above the system requirments. When I get the error I click ok and then use save as. Give the town a new name. Don't click on the red cross. Then I minimize the game and go to the saves folder. There will be a sunset valley sims3 and a sunset valley sim3 bad. Delete the bad. Your game should be fine. I hope it make sense, my English is not so good.

Makes since.  I'll have to remember that for next time.  With the bad file deleated, hopefully whatever i have will load just fine.  But if I have to start over, I have to start over.  At least the household will still be there.  Thank you very much.

And when you save, never use save and quit! Save the game and then just exit.

*nods*  Any idea what causes this error?  I did notice while in build/buy, that  few things actually seem to be missing, unless items like the men's and women's bathroom doors are just not available in build/buy mode for a residental lot.

I have no idea why it happens lol! I'm just glad my game don't crash. Those doors are only for community lots. I think

Alright, just checking.   Been a good while since I did any major builds.  Would also explain why none of the registers showed up in buydebug.
