The way to save when you are getting Error Code 12

When you keep getting Error Code 12,Use this method to save:-
     

1.Go to-My documents>Electronic Arts>The Sims 3(Windows XP)or Libraries>Documents>Electronic Arts>The Sims 3(Windows Vista/7).
2.Copy CurrentGame.sims3(Don't cut!)and paste it anywhere outside the The Sims 3 folder.
3.Rename the folder to ________.sims3(fill in the gap with what you'd name the save file).
4.Copy the ________.sims3 folder and paste it in ElectronicArts>The Sims 3>Saves.

And TaDa!You are Done!

Trust me, it works.
And you dont need to get the error to save this method. If you hate waiting that long to save a game, you can use this anytime.

I tried this a few times to make a save but when I loaded it, it wasn't a save of the current process but just a copy of the last save I had made. From what I can tell the CurrentGame file is just updated when you make a save and is just a copy of that save.
I haven't had a error code 12 when saving yet to test if the currentgame file is updated then it but it doesn't seem to be a bypass for using save.
