 Hey gang! Happy Sunday!

So i am once again playing claire ursine and her daughter, and am having a good time playing them, but i have an idea for this family: i wanted to have claire move to another town after she finds out she is pregnant, because she does not want jared to ever know about their baby. can i do this? if she goes to, say aurora skies, will she still be pregnant and have her baby there? i think this story line could have potential, if i can pull it off.

thanks for any and all replies and have a blessed and safe day!

She will remain pregnant but with no data on who the father is (since moving towns with EA's function means erasing the old town and sims in it), so the baby will pretty much be a Claire clone.

I'm not sure about using Claire for the single parent challenge as she doesn't have one of the required traits, though I guess you could change one of them.

And if you really wanted to use Jared's genetics for the unborn child, and to have the child have two parents, you could use NRaas' Traveler mod to move towns and make the new town her new home town.
The traveler way of changing hometowns requires several steps and begins with going on vacation to whatever town you want to live in.
But you need to read the steps carefully to make sure you complete the process in the correct order.
It also requires a save as and quit once the process has been complete, but I've done it multiple times in my Town Jump game, so it does work fairly easily.
And it does keep family trees and data intact, rather than erasing the data like EA's moving town system does.

In fact, it might be kind of fun to have Claire keep moving towns if Jared shows up as a 'tourist' looking for his child!

Your game sounds like it has quite the possibilities!
