Sounds good to me. It's my Dynasty, but with all the cheating going on there is no way I'm getting in the HoF, so I don't think I'd need to ask Metro. I'll definitely try that when I get back on there. Also does anyone know if deleting pools would help? I remember my last attempt deleting them helped with the drownings so maybe I should delete them in this one. Thanks Moons!

Do you have any late night buildings in your town?

Excellent suggestions. I think while I'm waiting for the special announcement, I'll go try these. Thanks Louise!

For resolution right click on your desktop and you should see the option to change it there, tell us what it is currently set on, and then got to the sims setting and see which resolution you have, yes deleting parking spots help, because it will stop the game from spawning those stupid big lemons and sloppy jalopy everywhere.

You could try and make them all live completely underground. It could help with just moving around the house because the game doesn't have to load all the exteriors!

Ok, I got the one. It's 1600 by 900 pixels and the slider is on high. The sims one will have to wait a while cause I quit the game and am waiting for the big announcement. While I was playing though, I merged all 3 cats into another household, and deleted the parking lots off the spa, diner and bistro. They mostly do live in the basement except for Pam who is outside painting, and Wyatt when he's taking care of the garden. I suppose I could move Pam downstairs and use moveobjects on and have an underground garden!

well that is pretty :P that one requires a good graphic card if you play sims at that resolution lowering the number of lots to render and the rendering distance to the lowest in sims 3 setting can help as well :)

I've been told my computer is awesome except for the card. Everything in the graphics of sims is already set to low and advanced rendering isn't checked. I was too excited to play long so I'm hoping moving the cats out of the house and deleting the parking lots helped already. As soon as Carl announces the big secret I'll try to play for more than a few minutes and let you know. Thanks for everything Kiko and everyone else!
EDIT: The announcement isn't going to be tonight it doesn't look like, so I will let you know soon if it helped.
EDIT 2: Unfortunately that didn't do anything. Still laggy as all get out. Also under the graphics options, Everything is low and off and the one thing is set to 1. Enable Object Hiding and enable animation smoothing is on and enable advanced rendering is off. The screen size is 800x600(4:3)**.

well then try the factory reset ? and then start by putting only your save files, you might find missing store content, see how it goes and exist without saving, then try again, you are playing on the lowest possible resolution, disable animation smoothing, uninstall pets and try again, Like I said on my thread the lagging won't disappear due to all the sims in graveyards and family trees, let me know how much ram you have, I know a few things that can help, but unfortunately we can't talk about them in here.

I already did the factory reset once. Should I do it again? I'll disable the smoothing thing. I have 6.00 GB of RAM. There is only one thing we're not allowed to talk about here, and I refuse to consider that. I would never put that in my game, sorry. Thanks for trying to help but if it comes down to dealing with it or putting something in my game, I'd rather deal with the lag. Also about uninstalling Pets, do you mean do a full uninstall reinstall? I could do that I guess. I don't want to totally uninstall it because I like some clothes that come with it. Also, my friend that got me the wrong card said he would bring over the right card on Friday so hopefully I get this resolved with a new graphic card.

well did you try any new save files ? that will let you know if the problem is just with that save file or with game, by uninstalling pets I was talking just removing pets, and try again, if not you can just wait for the new graphic card then, it is your game and you choose how to deal with it :)

Yes I started a new file and everything seemed fine. It's really awful and I really hope the new card does it. This is my 5th try for this Dynasty and I really don't want to give it up. My girl is wearing some Pets clothes which is why I don't want to uninstall it if I don't have too. Thanks for understanding about that thing. I've never used them and not about to start now.  :D
