Main Text –

This is a library that was requested by Joria. She had detailed that she wanted a fantasy-like build and since I was very unfamiliar with this style, I thought I would try it out. I titled this creation Joria Fleuri (Joria’s Bloom). In any case, let me know what you guys think and enjoy :)

Backstory –

In Autumn of 2007, a lonely barge sailed amidst the gentle blue embrace of the sea. Eccentric billionaire Nore Negonc had gathered a dashing crew of adventurers and had set sail four months ago in search of a mystical island where the inhabitants rode giant seashells and danced with dolphins in the velvety glow of the waning sun. But with no land in site, even Nore’s most adventurous mates had grown weary. Of course it is at times like these that one is most likely to find land Nore thought to himself. He leaned sideways and listened for the familiar cry from the lookout. Nothing. Resigned, he waddled his way below deck and off to the land of dreams.

His dream that night was most enjoyable. The entire crew was running around as they had finally seen the small sliver of land on the horizon. He could hear the soft noise of oar hitting water as they bound forward. He could taste the salt in the air. He could even feel the sun’s heat on his eyes as he looked ahead. He had to look away and it took him several moments to realize… he was dreaming no longer. There she was, straight ahead, land.

The tales of Nore’s adventures on this island are many, but for now we will focus on one. While rumors of the inhabitants were exaggerated there was indeed something otherworldly about them. Among them was a young man, Cien Libre, to whom Nore had immediately taken a liking. His thirst for knowledge was admirably refreshing, as he read every single one of the books Nore had brought along with him in his small library on deck. Moved, Nore and his crew worked day and night to build a small library for the villagers of the island. He called it Joria’s Bloom, after the founder, whose kindness would soon not be forgotten.

Details –

I decided to forgo the usual lengthy captions for each image. I couldn’t tell if anyone actually read them lol, and there is so much to do… finish the list thread, my santa house, and actually toss some of the creations sitting in my game onto the forums. I guess I enjoy building more than actually writing these things hah. In any case, I will just write a general summary for the house. As you can see, the name comes from the giant flower structure in the front. The first floor is the study quarters. The second houses all the books. The third is for relaxing and reading, or watching the tele. There is also a little fridge there in case anyone gets hungry :) They can eat outside on the terrace, where there is also a drawing board and telescope along with the table and chairs. The fourth floor is the restroom. Enjoy!

There are so many little hidden or cute things in this that I love.  This time I'm enamored of the use of the fairy tale type bookshelves!  Perfect.
What?  Grannies can't play games?
I speak perfect Nooblik, (and some Simlish)!
