Jealousy - or lack thereof!

It looks like Cyclone Sword is the Sunset Valley 'bike' in my current game!

The Sim I'm playing at the moment, Sierra, quickly found herself falling for Cyclone after meeting him outside the Bistro on her first day in SV. She asked if he was single, but he was in a relationship with Ayesha Ansari. After a couple of days of flirting and a cheeky spot of Woohoo, Sierra asked Cyclone to break up with Ayesha, which he did. Sierra and Cyclone became an official item.

Sierra then went on a 5 day vacation to Al Simhara, and imagine her (well, my) surprise when on her return, I hovered over Cyclone in the relationship panel only to see, underneath his traits, 'partner: Blair'. I thought Sierra was his partner! She invited Cyclone over, and I tried to instigate some sort of 'accuse of cheating' interaction but there were none to be found, and neither was there any option of 'ask to break up with Blair'.

So off I went to the Roomies household to confront Blair Wainwright - I had no jealousy related interactions available with her, either, so Sierra ended up calling Cyclone into the room and making out with him in front of Blair. She gave him a quick slap, but then continued talking to Sierra like normal!

I think Sierra might just ask Cyclone to just be friends. She can't deal with being second string!

I don't normally get my Sims romantically involved with townies, I usually make their future partners myself, so I don't know if all the townies are this promiscuous! My grand plan involved completing Sierra's LTW of Seasoned Traveller, then marrying Cyclone and having children. I don't want Sierra's children to end up with 10 different stepmothers, so I think I'll just marry her off to a Champs les Sims native!

Does Cyclone put it about in your game? Have you had any other amusing two-timing experiences with townies before?

Depends on their traits sometimes. I play Bridgeport where everyone is flirting with everyone else.
My sim recently proposed marriage to Matthew Hamming after asking him to move in. After WooHoo for 3 days, he got the wish to break up, so I gave him his wish and kicked him out. My sim then became romantic with Romeo Rake, only to find he was already dating Flo-Flo Chique, so she asked to just be friends. Then she became romantic with Vladimir and found out he was romantically invloved with 2 other sims, so she broke off with him. During all this time, she would visit her ex-boyfriend and WooHoo. Even though she is WooHooing her ex, her reputation has remained clean. Since she has the Young Again potion, I'm waiting for Richie Striker's son to age up.

When you say your Sim and Cyclone became "an item", did your Sim actually ask him to go steady?  Otherwise, they are just romantic interests and there's no commitment between them and both can do whatever they want.  Look at your relationship panel and see what the icon looks like next to Cyclone's name.  Is it a heart (romantic interest) or the figure of two Sims (boyfriend)?

MoMoll: Haha, your post made me laugh. I've only played Bridgeport a couple of times, which is probably a good thing as it sounds like I wouldn't be able to keep up with who's Woohooing with who!
I wonder if your sim still having a clean reputation has something to do with BP being a late night town as opposed to a suburb? Haha, maybe the sims in BP are used to everyone Woohooing all over the town so they don't bat an eyelid, but in clean little bubblegum towns like SV it's more of a scandal? XD

Pam: Oh! I had no idea adults could go steady, I thought that was just a teen interaction! I guess I assumed they were boyfriend and girlfriend because I had the option to ask to just be friends. Silly me - I'll have to have a hunt for that interaction then, I haven't seen it under the Romantic sub-menu. Although, maybe that's because he was in a relationship with Blair - according to the relationship panel he doesn't have a partner now so perhaps the interaction will be there now. Thanks Pam! :)

Yeah, Cyl0ne does seem to be the ladies man, I had him marry the blond, then he started sneaking around with Blair.  I don't see the attraction, but I guess the Sims like that scruffy look.

I don't really get it either - I thought he had a nice scruffy looking face but once I'd seen him without his Everyday outfit on, he's got such skinny little matchstick legs!
