Should I install the new patch 1.29 even tough I don't have pets?

Hi!

I don't have Pets, but probably I will buy it later. My question is:

If I install the patch now, before Pets is installed, will the fixes for Pets be installed too? Or do I have to install the patch again after installing Pets? Or won't I get the Pets-fixes at all if I install the patch now and install Pets later?

Yes, the fixes will be in place.  You will not have to install the patch again.  Sims 3 runs off patch level, not EP or SP like Sims 2 did.
