Video Game Bug

I just had this happen for the first time.  My Sims won't play the video games.  They sit on the couch and get ready, but then stop and the command goes away.  Out of a household of eight, at least two have this problem.  I've deleted and re-purchased the video game several times, tried all the different video games (from HELS), and have reset the Sims multiple times.  At one point, one child could play the game, but not her sister or mother.  Then after resetting, even that one child cannot play.  Anyone encounter this?

Can you think of any connection at all, Pam? In other words did it happen literally out of the blue and they could use the video game previously, or do you think there may be a connection with something else — an event that happened in the game or maybe something you bought from the EA store?

Do they just stop, or do they get a little speech bubble above their head?

It's my new legacy family, generation 2 and 3.  It was the first video game I bought for them and it didn't work from the start.  They go to the couch, sit down, look at the TV and lean forward a little.  Then the command disappears from the upper left corner and they sit back on the couch for a few minutes before they stand up and go do something else on their own.  No speech bubble.  I haven't been able to think of a connection to anything yet.

The video game consoles you can buy in "buy mode".  Base game comes with the basic one (where sims sit near the tv and hold controllers), and the virtual reality one (one a sim can wear on their head).  The latter gives you game prompts for your sim (not you) to play 3 different types of games.  HELS gave another console of the former type (different design, does the same thing though).

The video games are purchased in Buy Mode in the electronic section, under miscellaneous.  High End Loft added two video games.  They play the same as the original game in the base game Sims 3, but they have different fun level number.  One give 8 fun and the other gives 9 fun for $100 more.

Oh, I really am in the dark, I thought you were on about the Individual Games!   Not the consoles! I do like the new expensive Console. My Legacy Family has it and it's so good at raising fun levels!

I have a problem like that with a 3-seat couch. The left side when looking facing the console doesn't work. The rest is fine. The command disappears the same way, like a glitch or something.

That would be interesting.  But I'm sure that I've tried other furniture and stuff to play the game, and it still doesn't work.

I have my Sofa's arranged like this

      TV
C            C
     3SS

C - Chair
3SS - 3 Seater Sofa

It depends on the space as to the 3 seater sofa. Sims will have extra options to sit if they want to play but some seats are not in range etc.
