green arrow???

I play on the ps3 version... I was wondering if you give the dog the the command to bark wat the arrow above their head with the microphone means? Or when they go to the bathroom and a green arrow with a bowl above their head means? If anyone can help that would be great! thanks

for barking it means they are working on the vocal trait  and when bathroom means they are gaining the neat trait (if they are going outside or litter box)
