Xbox 360 disk broken??

I was playing my sims 3 game as normal trying to get my big important family to do as i told tehm to and it froze! So i switched the xbox off and tried again and it keeps freezing at the smae point. We t-cutted it and cleaned it and tried everythign, we looked at the little inside circle has a crakc and i just wanted to know if this is why it's freezing or something else and if i need a new disk or there is somehow i can fix it?

Can you get the disc resurfaced? A DVD rental store usually does that for the public, for a small fee. It helped me with The Sims: Bustin' Out, as that froze a heck of a lot.

Getting the disc resurfaced means that the silver bit on the underside of the disc is re-coated. Don't ask me how it works, it just does.
