Discovering skills (using testing cheats)
« on: November 23, 2011, 09:13:30 PM »
I'm doing some testing to determine what sort of Sims are attracted to different lot types. I do have a list, but I don't want to just copy it, I would rather test it myself to be sure. Anyway, using testingcheats, I can click on any Sim and bring them up in CAS to discover their traits but it doesn't tell me what skills they have. Is there any way I can do this without adding them to my household. I want to check a number of venues, and I would rather not have to add to my household to see their skills then have to kick them out again.

I thought it was only based on Sims traits, not skills. Why do you think the skills have an impact?

I have some lists from other sites that people have extracted from game files. It's information about different lot types/venues and the way they act. Some of them have encouraged skills as well as encouraged traits.

Thanks, I had no idea! Yet, I have no clue either on how to discover those skills without using "what-cannot-be-named-here" ;-)

lol, not to worry, I can add them to the household if I have too - it's only a test file, so that doesn't matter. It's just I had hoped for a quicker way.

The only thing I might suggest is to move from household to household in a test 'hood via Edit Town, checking everyone's skills and writing them down without playing them.

The only thing about checking out the households is that I want to know about the Sims that are visiting different lots and they don't always live in town. I currently have a test version of Sunset Valley where I have deleted all the houses and community lots. I'm slowly test building different community lots and there are plenty of visitors to these lots even though there is nowhere for them to live.
