Placing lot
« on: November 06, 2011, 10:37:21 PM »
Where is the best place in each town to place a 10x10 lot?
By best I mean flattest.
I find SV is a really hard place to find spots to place them.
Anybody have good places that they place theirs?
Thanks

How about bulldozing some lots to make room for the 10x10 lots?

When you are in edit town, select the bulldozer and you can remove any lot you want. If there is a building, you will need to bulldoze it twice, once to remove the building and the second time to remove the actual lot. Once the spot is cleared, you can place another lot of a different size there.

I'm having trouble in general in Sims 3 Pets placing the "new venues" in the towns.  Has anyone else come across this and if you have, can anyone help with some instruction?  Thank you :)

What lots are you having trouble placing and in what town? When you say trouble, do you mean finding somewhere to put them?

I put a 10x10 lot next to the Bistro. It's nice and close to town.

As for the new venues, I've tried limiting them to only those that will benift my sims. For one challenge, I have only placed Waylon's Haunt. It fits up next to stoney falls without having to delete anything. The Grind dance club also fits in a couple of places about town. For another challenge I used Aquarius, and deleted two of the empty lots on the lower side of Pinnocle Point and placed the lot there. I think that was one of the few spots where it would not overlap spawn points - but I'd have to go into CAW to be sure. Unless you don't mind losing some spawn points, then it's not a problem.

As for the film studio, I intend on having my sim buy a lot and then use moveobjects on to fit it onto a smaller lot.

In Sunset Valley there is a flat area on Summerhill Springs and on the Pinaccle Pond area. In Hidden Springs there is a nice flat area by the Bistro that has access to a road there, I placed my Pet Store there (On a placed lot)

This is going to sounds stupid but I just don't know how to get them to place.  I will have the sufficient lot size but I don't know how to actually get it to drop down and place there.  I feel like a newbie idiot.  Help!

Are you in world editor? If it is green than it can be placed there and if it's red it cant be.
