Finding Sims? PS3

I've now played 3 in-game weeks, and every day, I visit the Clique household, hoping to meet Rain. Thing is, she's never there. I've looked everywhere. I've waited outside the school, but just can't find her. I've had no problems meeting others, so I'm starting to think that it may be a glitch in my game?

If you know of some way to find sims (Sims not marked on the town map, that is!), please post!

I've noticed this kind of thing too. I wanted to find Xia Xu (the dog), but she was never at the household, and she didn't have a job either. I think Sims just wonder around, any Sim could actually survive by just visiting the gym, since there is a fridge, show, toilet, and other basic things there (I think there is a bench there too, so Sims can sleep on them). Sims just wander too much for their own good.
