I was just wondering about this as I have been finishing off a house for the building contest. I have all the expansion packs plus all the stuff packs. The stuff packs shouldn't be a problem as they are only items, but if I build a house and only use content from the base game, is it playable by people who only have the base game or just one or two expansion packs?
I know that if someone hasn't got say HEL and I use an item from it, that item will be replaced in their game by something else (I am right in that aren't I?), but are the actual houses compatible?
Not sure if it was Sims 1 or 2 (or both) but if I built a house and I was playing the game with any expansion packs, even if I only used base game content, only people with the same EP's as me could use the house.
