The Animal Rescuer LTW
« on: November 07, 2011, 11:37:50 AM »
I started a new sim with the Animal Rescuer LTW which is to adopt 6 strays. I thought it meant 'wild' pets but it turns out this is not the case. Pets adopted from neighbors and the shelter count making this the easiest LTW ever! My sim had it completed in three sim days. Now the big question. Glitch? or is it really meant to be this easy?

That's "wild"!

I haven't even tried this LTW because it just seemed too hard.  Good to hear that it's not!

Oh, wow. That's gotta be fixed. If the description says you need to adopt 6 strays then clearly that means the animals that wander the neighborhood should be the only ones that count. You mouse over those and it actually says stray. I mean that's pretty ridiculous if simply calling the shelter fulfills that.

I'm going with bug too. It's a Lifetime Wish and those are not meant to be so easy. Some of them are a cinch to complete, but in this case you could just adopt a pet every few hours. The only thing holding you back would be waiting on the shelter worker to deliver each pet.

I'm going to say bad wording (but a bug too) - I think Stray can be classified as shelter-pet, because a Stray is an animal without a home that hasn't gone feral, I believe - an animal at an Adoption Agency can then be called a Stray, since the shelter isn't exactly a home.

Otherwise, easy LTW! Does it count if you adopt an animal then put it up for adoption?

I'm absolutely sure this isn't what they had in mind.  Not only do animals received from the animal shelter count, but adopting pets from your neighbors qualify as well.

The OP already mentioned that fact.

Oops, I didn't see that!   :D

It does. I put my first kitten up for adoption to test this and my count stayed at one.
