Nectar Making vs. Mixology - can both co-exist?

I have a Sim, "Michelle," who, though she has the "Bottomless Nectar Cellar" lifetime wish, has shown signs of wanting to dabble in Mixology. If she were to host a party, could she offer both nectar and man (excuse the pun! ) the bar successfully?

I believe nectar that has already been made can be served ahead of time and then sims can just pick up the glasses. That leaves your Sim free to make drinks at the bar

You can train Mixology without actually serving drinks to Sims.  In fact, this is usually a good idea since your drinks will be horrible to start with.

There are skill books for mixology so you can max it by only reading books.
If you stock your bar with Nectar you can serve it from there, but I don't think that will increase any skill, only making drings and tending bar increase mixology (and practicing mixology and creating new drings, and moonlighting - as far as I can remember.
